That is prefectlly normal. When you are so stressed out or have a lot of built up emotions, that can be the best way to let them out. And it always seems easier when its that time of the month.

Nothing wrong with that. If it was all the time then you should seek professional help. Crying is an emotion that helps relieve tension. In some cases it's just alone time for yourself to reflect on life. Are you familiar with the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond? There was an episode recently where Deborah just wanted some time to herself. When Ray her husband looked in the window he saw her on the sofa just pouring the tears. Of course he didn't understand until his wife said it was just something she needed and it really made her feel better. I know it's just a television show but there is a lot of truth to it. So go ahead and let the tears flow. Let each teardrop wash away the sadness until they turn into tears of joy!

It doesn't always exactly have to do with PMS, but every girl will want to cry or get angry over a drop of a hat at LEAST once a month. What you could do, is when you feel like crying, pinch the skin between your thumb and index fingers. It gets your emotions back on track by kicking outer feelings. You get a dose of reality. Then take a deep breath and think about why you are upset or depressed.

Depression is manifested both physically and emotionally. The classic physical signs of depression are headaches, fatigue, digestive problems, hyperactivity, sleeping disorders, loss of concentration, and distorted eating patterns.
Chemicals imbalances in the brain can also be either the cause or effect of depression. Dopamine is the chemical that produces anxiety, stress, nervousness, and aggression. When the level of dopamine is ELEVATED, a person may develop feelings of insecurity, paranoia, and fear. Serotonin is another important chemical in the brain that can affect a person's mental well-being.
A person with LOW serotonin levels displays mood swings, and some sort of compulsion, such as alcoholism, overeating, or being a workaholic, perfectionist, or procrastinator.

Best ways to beat depression is Diet, Exercise, Supplements or Therapy.

Its essential to get the B-complex vitamins, since they work together to balance proper brain functioning.
Fatty acids, such Omega-6, Omega-3.
Magnesium and herbal extracts such:
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum in Latin) is a long-living plant with yellow flowers. It contains many chemical compounds. Some are believed to be the active ingredients that produce the herb's effects, including the compounds hypericin and hyperforin.
Chinese schizandra berry, wild oats, and calamus root.

It's not always when your periods due. It's better than taking it out by yelling or violence, I think it's the second best way, it makes you feel better. The first would be to tell someone who you trust to tell about all the things that annoy you. There's nothing wrong with it. It's called emotion. lol. but if it keeps happening and you don't feel like there's anything bothering you then I'd ask to see maybe a psychologist or ask your parents bout it. It could be something from the past that you can't let go of and you feel like you can't stop thinking about it. Anyway. if you want you can IM me anytime =]. good luck

Its perfectly natural.
Being a woman sucks.
and woman are 85% more susceptible to depression,
which basically means we have more burdens than men so we get stressed more.
crying is very healthy.
if it feels wrong just do it in private. as long as you get it out you're fine.

When I read your question, I didn't look at the picture and did kind of a double take at the hat because I said, that's not a woman's' question? So there is your answer you're a female.
