The bottle should be gone by the age of 1.

I started my son on a soft spout sippy with no vaulve at 3 motnhs-he was off the bottle and on a soft spout sippe with vaule by 5 months.

I weaned both of my sons straight from the breast to the cup instead of going through the bottle thing and having to wean again. They were both only 5 -6 months old. As long as she will take it now I would go ahead and give it to her. It's not going to cause any problems if she stays on the bottle this young but I know some people have big issues trying to get there little ones to give up their bottles. So if she is willing for the cup now and it's not going to hurt her... then hey .. it might save you a headache later :) - Oh by the way the NUBY sippy cups with the soft spouts or there are ones with straws are a GREAT way to get over to the cup while they are this young because the spout is soft! (My first would only use the straw kind -at 6 months - and my second the spout but both are soft!)

Depends - Some go onto sippie cups early. My friend's daughter had an older brother so she moved on quite quickly to be like her sibling, but I know she had a bottle before bedtime just over a year. During the day though - sippie cup for sure.

I have heard that the bottle becomes a problem for muscle development with speech so in that sense if they move on easily to the sippie cup - bin the bottle : )

Every child is different. My now 4 yr old son decided he no longer wanted to drink from a bottle after I introduced juice in a sippy cup at around 6 months. I would offer both a bottle and a sippy cup with his formula in them and he always chose the cup. However, my now 7 yr old wouldn't drink from a sippy cup until after his first birthday.
If you are giving your daughter juice, it should be in a cuppy. At least that's what my doctor says.

My sister's daughter could hold her own bottle by 8 mnths.
so she then went from there to start with a sippie cup. But it does take time so practice from young and by a year they should be able to know the general motion.

Good Luck, its the best time of your life ;-)

The earlier you do it the better so that way she won't be as attatched to the bottle when you take it away; however, you have to make sure she can not only hold the cup, but also is ok with the amount that comes on when sipped on. Also check with your pediatrician because having her get all her vitamins is so important that first year and she can get all of them in formula so you may have to add to her diet.

Hello,

When my twins were 8 months old I tried letting them use sippie cups and they would not take them.

But, when they turned a year old, I tried letting them use these sippie cups with soft straws and they love them! So, now, I have six of these sippie cups.

Here is the link below for you.

Hope this helps you............... : - O

I think you should try one now. i had my children on sipper cups at the age of 8 months without bottles. Try it and see how she does with it. If she takes it alright then continue to give it to her and hide the bottles she might not even miss the bottles mine didn't.

You guys did a great job mayne. I'm not feeling strong about my "Coming Clean" beat doe:(. Idk. :D K thanks. @CJ, It's called sampling. Producers do it all the time. Besides I messed around with the sample. I used the original loop just for the beginning then I flipped it around. It's not like I made people pay for the track anyways it was free. @CJ, I just f*cking said I mess around with the loop. I only used the original in the beginning because the sample I messed around with didn't fit well. I added my own lead that sample that wasn't snatched but chopped up was mostly for the background vibe anyways. I didn't snatch it. I spent 2 or 3 f*cking weeks on "Ride to This" Beat. Every day. I didn't even know Dr. Dre or Diddy supposedly did that. What I did was sampling. Every damn producer I've ever listened to sampled and I sampled the way they sampled it. Please OH Please name a "real" producer in Hip-Hop who doesn't sample like that!
