Hello,

I am a health 21 year old and I have been off my contraceptive pill for 4 weeks to start for a family. I had a period straight after coming off the pill and I am due on this week, I no I am been impatient but i am desprate to no if i could be pregnant.

My Husband and I have been having enjoyable sex every other day since coming off the pill and I have recently started to have tender and sore nipples. I did a Pg test yesterday though the result was negative, though this could be due to it been to early to test.

What are my chances in being pregnant? Please advise as it would be my dream to become a mother.

There is such a thing as trying too hard and wanting something too much. I personally know 2 women who tried for over 10 years to get pregnant. It was all-consuming for them. That's all they talked about, it's all they dreamed about, it's all they read about...you get the idea. Well, when they "gave up" on getting pregnant and adopted babies guess what happened?! They got pregnant! You can have a "mental block" where this is concerned. It doesn't affect all women but if you find yourself having trouble conceiving you might want to chill out a little bit. Take a vacation and have sex just for the fun of having sex. This should be an enjoyable time for you because you don't have to be so careful. Make it fun instead of work. You may be having sex too often as well. I know your husband probably wouldn't want to hear that but sex that often lowers the sperm count. He can still ejaculate but you're not getting so much of the "baby juice."

God bless you! I hope for your sake you are already pregnant and you won't need any of this advice!

A women knows her body. I knew I was pregnant well before I missed my period for the simple fact 1 yes the sore titties and 2 the morning sickness. Pay close attention to your body because if you are pregnant your vagina is going increase the vaginal discharge and a whole bunch of other **** that will be a sure fire sign of pregnancy. Trust me I'm 25 weeks!

I was pregnant 3 months after stopping the pill. 2 of those months we used other protection.

So yeah, you can get pregnant right off the pill.

If your period is due this week, and your nipples are sore...I'm thinking it's a premenstrual symptom. They're probably been suppressed a bit while on the pill, and will be more noticeable now.

Hmmmm...let me look into my crystal ball....
errrrr..no I dont really have one and nor does anyone else here, go to the doc and have a blood test, this can show up the pregnancy hormone before your period is due.
Best of luck, and if not this time it will happen for you eventually.

Whatever your chances are, please relax. You are young and I guess you are healthy, try not to undermine your chances by being so tense.
