Sorry, but there aren't any sites that will give you free info on tongue piercing. All the sites sell instructional manuals & it would probably cost less to get it done professionally than buy a manual & the tools you'll need to do it. That being said - if you have a clamp, a tri-beveled needle (14 guage) & a barbell that's longer than 16mm (you'll need room for swelling) - your best bet is to go to a piercing parlor & watch several people get their tongues pierced. Plenty of people watch others get it till they work up the nerve, so any shop in your area will let you hang out for a while & watch if the customers are OK with it. That's the best instruction you'll get for free.
While I have no problem w/self piercing (I do think it's stupid), doing your own tongue will be incredibly difficult. You have to use a marker & mark the right spot between the veins on the underside of your toung, so you'll know where to insert the needle (I have no idea where that spot is by the way & I've had my tongue peirced). Then you'll have to hold the clamp (and yes, you DO need a clamp) & insert the needle from the underside of your tongue, then thread the barbell through. Your natural reflex will be to pull your tongue back into your mouth, if you don't hold the clamp tight enough your tongue could slip & you'll either rip your tongue or stab yourself in the mouth with the needle (or both). And, if you insert the needle crooked, you'll have to do it over. You might want to have a friend do it. That way you'd have a better chance of not having a horrible accident. And make sure you boil all the equipment & use latex gloves. If you go through with it, let me know how it works out. It's said that God looks after children & fools. So who knows?

no good, reputable web site will be able to tell you how to safely pierce your own tongue by yourself. the only people who know how to properly do that (or any) body piercing are doctors and professional piercers. and neither of them are going to post do-it-yourself information on the internet because idiots who think they know everything because they read it once on the internet would came back with a lawsuit saying they couldn't imagine why it didn't work. you have to be certified in piercing for a reason: you can seriously screw something up if you don't know what you're doing. and you aren't going to figure out what to do just by reading instructions on the internet.
do-it-yourself piercing is about as stupid do-it-yourself lasik eye surgery. if you're dumb enough to try, then you probably deserve to paralyze your tongue or get a massive infection from a needle you "thought" was sterilized from holding it under a lighter for 30 seconds.

ARe you doing this because you're mother won't let you peirce it? or are you cheap? Either way, yes i'm gonna tell your
dumb butt it's dangerous. I'm not sure what you are rebeling for, but I don't think having your tounge SPLIT, having gangrene, having parts of it fall off, is worth it.
You can not peirce it by yourself, or by your friends. You could peirce through a vein and have to go to the emergency room to get stitches to close that vein, or bleed to death.
So whatever stupid teenage thing you're about to do, don't. Save your self some time and money (because ER trips aren't cheap) and just get it done by a pro....

I highly recommend you get you tongue pierced by a professional, for many reasons... one is not physically able to see where to put the needle :/ there are so many bad outcomes I've seen from people who have done it themselves that all of them have some kind of problems now... including one had to have the front part of his tongue surgically removed.

thrilling solutions, yet heavily you will not pop a vein it somewhat is conected on your eye. in case you're actually not a expert piercer who makes use of sterlized equippment and hollow needles, who additionally has expierinece in piercing areas of the anatomy acurrately than no it is not a sturdy concept to pierce your self, extremely in a serious section as your tounge. it may pop out crooked, contaminated and you'd be able to stick the needle by a community the place your vein is working by. basically get it achieved via a expert piercer, it somewhat is going to be lots extra speedier, precise and not so painful as in case you have been to do it your self you will get the total opposite. sturdy luck.
