What would you do if you were with your significant other and you ran into your first true love who broke your heart years earlier? Would you attempt conversation, avoid them, or show off your new love?

This question is not for my personal gain, I was just curious about what you would do. I would probably say "Hi" and leave it at that. Life goes on. :o)

Impossible to answer that question... It would depend on so many things:
How I felt that day
How my partner felt
How good I looked
What my motivation to talk would be
Whether I was over the ex
One thing for sure.... NEVER use your current partner as a tool to get at an ex. The current partner has feelings and is not an object to be showed off. How would you feel if he or she did that to you with an ex of theirs???

Exactly. Life is way too short to worry about whats been. Be yourself and just say "Hi, how are you?". If you happen to be with your new love, just hold them closely and avoid any confertation. Its not going to do anyone any good and wont change whats happened already other than to raise bad feelings again. Just rise above the past, be polite and show them youve moved on beyond them and thatll probably do more damage than if you tried to even the score. Dont start up any conversation as this other person may take it wrong and might think youre interested again in them. Good luck

i would say hi
don't show that you are nervous
be the bigger person
act as if they are just another person in the world and you just say hi to them like you would any usual person

i would attempt conversation just to let them know that they didn't end my life just the relationship,their lost not yours
