you've let that jerk get the best outta you already, don't let him ruin your life!! go back to school (i'm trying to get my ged right now) and get a job as a server or bartender (good money, especially if you're in la).
It's a New Year!! Have a good one. Get over all those demons from the past.

Your sexual orientation has nothing to do with the fact that you have no money... What is important is that you need money, a high school education and some job skills fast.

I would suggest that you consider the U.S. Job Corps. No it is NOT the military. It is place designed to help people such as yourself regain some life skills and needed support.

The school/program can help you get your high school diploma or GED. The job corp4r also provides a place for you to stay and will help you find a job or offer a job for you on campus to help you make some money.

I am not too sure if there is a JOB CORPS in LA. But the local unemployment office has more info.

You perhaps need to move away and re-establsih yourself. Job Corps sounds like the best move. And then from there think about the Peace Corps or maybe even teaching a job corp.

There is still a life for you. God is willing to help you. Stop worrying and move on to a better way of life. Forget the idiot that is taunting you and refresh your mind.

Who you are is God's gift to you but what you become is your gift to God!

Hang in there! Maybe your parents can help you at least get here! I am counting on you to make a move and soon!

More about Job Corps:

Welcome to Job Corps Region One, serving the residents of
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey,
New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Vermont.

Job Corps offers no-cost training and education to America's youth ages 16 through 24. Students typically live on campus and earn their high school diploma or GED while learning career skills in one of more than 60 occupational areas offered in Region One.

Job Corps will even help you find employment, housing and transportation when you graduate -- and we stick with you for up to a year to make sure you are settled in your new career.

Best wishes on a new life and year 2007 and beyond!

I have known several individuals who signed up for Job Corps. They got them where they can make some serious money and can live on their own. The cut off age for Job Corps is 25 so do it as soon as you can.

If that is not going to work out, then look into getting a GED and going to a trades school or college. Yes I said college. I also know plenty of people who treated high school like a joke, and then got serious and finished college.

Good luck.

You can get your GED, then use that to get into a community college (they are generally two-year schools) where you can show you're serious about turning your life around. While you study there, figure out what you want to do as far as work and get good grades (even if you have to visit the study labs frequently) so you can get into a better school (of the four-year type, where they award Bachelor degrees).

Since you have no job, you'll need your parents' support at first to get back into school. However, unless you have special skills, you're going to need more than a GED. Talk this over with your parents, first. If they are behind you, you can work at your school while studying to build your skills while you learn theory. Also, you probably won't need their support through it all because CA (I've heard) helps its residents out with their higher education. Refer to the financial aid department of whatever school you end up going to, and fill out a FAFSA.

Yeah, you could just get a GED, but you could also use it as a tool to do even more to improve yourself, from an employment standpoint. Plus, going to college can boost your confidence, especially if you're ready to really apply yourself. Or, you could use it to go to a trade school.

ok.. you need to get your GED which means you will have to study and pass.... for your self esteem you shouldnt care what people say bc your so called friend that you thought he was....was probably trying to make you sound bad so he could take some of his low self esteem off and make you feel bad about yourself...
Once you get your GED try to get a steady job and go to college part time or full time... do what your major of what you want to be in life and i'm pretty sure your parents will help since they been supporting you...just put your head up and stop listening to people...there is this quote that says "always keep a smile on that will make people wonder what you will do next" ....you shouldnt worry of what people think ofyou...you should worry about what you think ...good luck!
Ps: Remember you are still young and have a lot that life can offer!

Start studying for a GED. Get some counseling -- there are sliding scale payments, and your parents' insurance may help you afford it. Go to the library and start checking out books on how to set goals and succeed. I recommend "Think and Grow Rich" and "Seven Habits for Highly Successful People." Take baby steps to get out on your own, and build on them each day. Get up each morning and get out of the house, even if it's out to the library. Pretend you work and have a job that you have to get to, even though your job is to get to a place where you can get a job.

Oh, and lay off computer games, alcohol and any illegal drugs, if you're doing those. They're a waste of time.

Start by going to your local community college and sign up for GED classes so you can get your GED. Quit worrying about what people think of you because chances are no one is paying any attention to you at all. Its egotistical to think we are wasting our time thinking stuff about you.
Read some some help books on your problems. Meanwhild work to get your GED. Once you have it look into community college classes.
