Abortion is not a crime nor is it murder. A baby is not a baby until it is born breathing on it' own that is why they call it a fetus while you are pregnant.
Abortion is just a medical procedure when someone cannot carry on with a pregnancy for whatever reason they may have. Every woman has the right to choose so i see no point in judgeing or even saying that it is wrong.

In the US. abortion abortion was a crime in the mid-nineteenth century, however it was decriminalized a hundred years later in the mid-1960s and early 1970s.

In the United States, laws against abortion began to appear in the 1820s. Connecticut outlawed post-quickening abortions in 1821, and New York made post-quickening abortions a felony and pre-quickening abortions a misdemeanor eight years later. Many of the early laws were motivated not by ethical concerns about abortion but by worry about the safety of the procedure. However, many early feminists, including Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, argued against abortion, favoring birth control instead.

"Induced abortion is not legal in every place. In some countries, a doctor who does an induced abortion is doing a crime. In the United States, Canada, and many countries in Europe abortion is legal (not a crime). In some countries like Ireland and Somalia it is legal only to save the life of the woman. If a woman is raped in Ireland and becomes pregnant, she cannot get an induced abortion. She must have the baby of the man who raped her. (Rape is when a person is forced to have sex.) In some countries like Chile and El Salvador it is never legal. Even if a woman will die if she keeps a pregnancy, she cannot have an induced abortion.

In countries where induced abortion is not legal many more women die from abortion. Women still get induced abortions, but they cannot get them in safe hospitals and clinics. "

most abortions are not a crime unless it's really late in the pregnancy. anyway, the supreme court ruled in Roe vs. Wade that women have a right to an abortions >=( but they later added some more conditions that there are certain conditions where a woman isn't allowed to get one.

Abortion is not a crime, because its currently legal in our country.

I think its definitely a shame, but as of now we can't consider it a crime. However, it is never our place to judge. We don't know any particular person's circumstance and we don't know what we would do, being put in their position.

I agree with ShiningSt
Well, what is the definition of crime, I think it depends on the low of your country, but all that I know is, that abortion is a sin, even with a second old in the his/her mothers womb.

There are conflicting opinions on this. To me, if done by a free will of a person, or in case of medical urgency (to save the life of mother for ex), by educated personel and in appropriate medical facility, abortion is a medical intervention, not a crime.

abortion crime or not crime is all in one's attitude. If it is intentional not wanting to have a baby then it is a crime but abortion when a child to be born is abnormal it is better to relieve the soul rather then a life long harrasement.

but wanted abortions is definetely a crime whether it is legal or not in any country.

For me, Yes it is most certainly a crime....

i think, from the moment of conception, when the fusion of the dna begins constitutes life don't you? therefor, life had begun and is existant. Conception and being born are miracles in themselves as so many things can go wrong.

Ask any women that had a miscarriage, or any parent that discovered their child would be born dead or deformed or retarded.

Once I read the statistics about me-you and everyone reading this....the odds are against us from the immediate moment. Here we are, having these great conversations, learning more about ourselves.

As each moment ticks by, I am sure hundreds of thousands of our species are eliminted by man or nature...

Once, I had the choice as a man. To become a parent or not. I made this girl pregnant befor marriage...She asked me: keep our baby or not? I said: Keep our child!

Today, my son is 19 years old, handsome, smart, nice and he will contribute something to our world.

I would discourage anyone from considering abortion as a form of birth control although it seems to me as a normal mentallity in todays conciousness.

My little nephew in south korea complained. (in kinder garten). he said: there are 30 kids in my class, only 5 girls, I never get to sit by the girl...

Today, korean men need to look outside their homeland for a wife.

In china, men ditch their wives because they had a daughter and not a son.

Which brings us back to the (VALUE OF LIFE), your life...we are all capable of procreation. Not only is it your DNA, it is your life energy...Think about it....

There exists responciblity in life as a human...When, where and how we should spread our seeds. ...If we did not throw the seed so easily, then we would not abort so many lives...so, we are selfish and greedy to our selfs...never considering the outcome.

what is the difference if some one killed you right now? as opposed to killing you in your first days or weeks? is there a significant difference? I dont think so. LIFE IS LIFE, MURDER IS MURDER...

i don't think abortion is a crime. but in some states it is,because they believe that you shouldn't kill a human being even if its just a baby inside of you.personally i don't think its a crime, and everyone should have that choice of rather they would wont an abortion.
