Saudi Arabia has the largest reserves followed by Canada (although mostly in tar sands and difficult to extract) then comes Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Kuwait, UAE, Venezula, Russia, Yemen. All these "big oil" countries have national oil companies, so although they let international oil companies like Exxon, Shell, etc drill and produce, this is mainly done so the companies bring in money, infrastructure, refineries etc, all the fields are only leased out and after a specified amount of time goes back to the national oil companies.

We got the most. The USA has HUGE "strategic reserves" which we haven't even touched yet. In fact we even buy oil and pump it INTO the strategic reserves. All these fields are on land.
We will not use this oil until we done used up everybody elses.
PS my current ve-hicle is a Dodge Ram.
