I have never had this problem with a video card, but I have seen it happen to me when I was testing a firewall (kerio personal firewall) with Kaspersky Antivirus 5. I found out that they are not compatible the hard way.

As for your case, you should relocate any pci cards on your motherboard that are in the slot next to your video card. If you have an AGP type motherboard then you should keep the pci slot just below it free of anything, especially the sound card. Try to keep the sound card at the bottom of the computer, furthest away from the video card. If you have a PCI-express video card then place it on the uppermost pci slot and keep everything clear of the pci slot below it. Again, sound card to the bottom. This should help prevent any IRQ errors than can occur. Another way is to mess with the bios to dedicate or remove available IRQ resources, but I have never messed with that as I have never needed to do so.

good luck

The driver you installed is conflicting with an existing driver or application or it was not properly installed. Log in using Last Known Good configuration and then rollback the driver. If you can't then login using Safe mode and do the same. If it doesn't give you any result, use your Windows Installation CD, and then click R for repair. On the recovery console, type in chkdsk /r.

That video card is not compatible with your system and that's why you're getting that error. You could backup your data and reinstall the OS and then try to install the video card again to be sure. It could be a virus or spyware creating that problem. Good luck.

Write down the ENTIRE blue screen message, including the hex code, and search for it on Google or Microsoft's Knowledge Base.
