Sponge the stain in a solution made by adding half a cup of salt to two quarts of water. Rinse with plain water. This simple treatment will remove most of the stain. Or soak
with cool water for 30 minutes or more.
After sponging or soaking, work undiluted liquid detergent into the stain and rinse.

Call one of those carpet cleaning companies - they usually do uphostery too. I would not recommend tackling it yourself because although you can get the stain out, the bacteria will remain and will smell after a few days.

try spray on upholstry cleaner, if that doesnt work after two or three times, rent a upholstry steamer cleaner or call in a upholstry cleaning company to do the steaming on the spot.

This stuff works really well, although since it's white it may make it a bit harder. But i've never had any problems with this stuff...
