MahaBharath ,,, this is well woven story of one family , and its predecessors ,
the fight of Righteous with Evil , the complete story as the first version was recited by Veda Vyas , who is also brother of Bhisma , the oldest Man who is in the story from the start to end , from his point of view ,

This is the only epic , which captures all the strides of human life , all th emotions , all the twisted tales of human relationship , and flaunts on the White and Black ,reactions and actions in all the characters .. In the end it makes the reader think , that nothing is right or wrong untill you have a very good teacher or GURU to lead your life ,

Everything however strong has to end one day

All epics and stories are true real life applications only. Instead of using common mans name and charactertics those who are not in the world is used for heaven sake. But it is truly advise in nature and guidelines to the mankind as a whole. When you are in darkness you need light to walk through even in your living house. So goes to effects of mahabharath stories. So do believe in god and meditate daily you will find some extra things in your mind. that is called God.

The Mahābhārata (Devanagari: महाभारत), is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India, the other being the Rāmāyaṇa. With more than 74,000 verses, plus long prose passages, or some 1.8 million words in total, it is the longest epic poem in the world.[1] Taken together with the Harivamsa, the Mahabharata has a total length of more than 90,000 verses.

It is of immense religious and philosophical importance in India. As a major text of Hinduism, it is considered by many to be a holistic and sophisticated realization of core philosophical and religious concepts that are central to the Vedic and Vedantic traditions. Its discussion of human goals (artha or wealth, kama or pleasure, dharma or duty/harmony, and moksha or liberation) takes place within a long-standing mythological tradition, attempting to explain the relationship of the individual to society and the world (the nature of the 'Self') and the workings of karma.

The Mahabharat is a repository of all possible human characters and archetypes. It shows us all the possibilities in a human being, from the absolute divine to the most evil.

It points towards the possibility of redemption for all. No matter how dark or evil, we might appear to others, to God we are all just the same – His Children. That is why His love for us remains equal, through all our lifetimes.

That is why the epic remains non-judgmental towards all its characters throughout its journey, and in the end shows them meeting one another in heaven – as equals.

This goes on to signify that once this game or play of Karma is over, we all shed our mortal costumes to return to our original state of divine bliss.

Whatever we might do or see here on earth has no consequence on our status as divine beings. We remain as ever, a part of the divine. We remain essential atoms of this creation.

Mahabharat touches upon every aspect of human life. It hovers around the essence of Gita.
Story of MAHABHARATA deeply strikes a chord with emotion of man and tells the tale that implies that:
(1) Excessive greed and selfishness can be self-destructive.
(2)If you leave the path of righteousness, your downfall is certain.
(3) Duty is the most important thing; do it and leave the result to God.

It talks and shows the ways and means to live a life that is honest to oneself and to one's society (atleast to a great extent it does). teaches love, respect and a clear sense of duty towards oneself and the community/society/country/world/god. Mahabharatha relates to EVERY phase of life and Death too... if read and understood keenly.
