20000 x 12% = 2400 Rs per year
In 2 years he paid 4800 Rs to the friend
25700-4800 = 20900 Rs , the interest to the bank in 2 years
so 10450 = the interest to the bank in one year
15% of BankLoan = 10450
divide by .15 on both sides
BankLoan = 69666.66 Rs
This assumes that payments are simple interest only.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for:

((20,000 - b)(1.24) + b(1.30) = 25,700

24,800 - 1.24b + 1.3b = 25,700

0.12b = 900

b = 7,500

B is the amount borrowed from the bank. Thus, the 20,000 - b is the amount borrowed from the friend. If you take that times the interest rate (doubled, for 2 years), and subtract it from the total payed, you will get the bank's rate + the bank interest. Divide by the bank's interest to solve for B (the amount borrowed from the bank). Feel free to send me a message if you need more help with this.
