Is it me or is the US coming down to its fall?

its kind of like Rome a powerful city that fell...i see that the US is losing so much money on war and then the natural disasters that happened. we have troops getting killed and all the natural disaters made it worse i think that N.Korea could take advantage of whats going on and ofcourse China will be with N.korea so is the US slowly coming down to its fall even though its still the most powerful country but there are so many chinese i literly think we can run out of bullets by trying to kill all of their troops

china isnt against us. china isnt with north korea, although north korea has china as an alli[sp??] china is telling them they better not launch anything at us, and if they do, they no longer have china as an alli[sp??] so i dont think there will be a war with china any time soon....they would all die, and we would all die [ok we would become extremely poor] because most of the material stuff here is from china, so we wouldnt have any supplies, and they wouldnt have any money, so i dont think they want to piss us off. oh ya and anyways north korea is backing off, because we threatened to not import thing to them anymore.[yep they buy things from us.]'

anyways, other countrys would be stupid to try to attack us, considering we have enough nuclear bombs to blow up the world twice or something like that [ about 5,900,000 ]

You know, everytime the US is involved in a war, Chicken Little thinks the sky is falling. It was the same during Vietnam, during WWII and so on. There are horrible things going on all over the world. And there have always been countries lurking in the shadows just waiting to see us fall. I am not saying it would never happen, I am not that arrogant. But I do believe you are underestimating the power of the US and you are overestimating the power of the radical countries lurking. No. We are not coming down to a fall.

Rome was more like an empire that fell. The city is actually still standing - even some of the ancient parts.

Yes, I think all world powers eventually come to an end - but the question is when? It might be 10 years or 1000. Or maybe even 10000...

Well Im not sure if we are witnessing the decline of America just yet, but it will come. Every great civilization falls eventually. Perhaps it will come about when our troops are so spread out all over the world that we do not have enough in a short period to deal with an emergency.

More likely, however, America will crumble mostly from within like all the other great civilizations in world history.

Perhaps you are seeing and phrasing the issue in the wrong way, at least friom my perspective. You speak about the economy and natural disasters and population statistics but a true downfall is a moral one, and as an American who loves my country I fear that we've reached that crucial point or soon will, when we begin the moral slide downward. The other elements you speak of would have far less power without the inner decline.

I dont think it will fall in our lifetime but we have to stop being the worlds police force but on the other hand it is better that we address these problems over there then here and we need to slow down on importing goods from other countries our economy is not as strong as it used to be

it isnt just you. any country with weak leaders will fall. look at the people that are put up for us to vote for. the leaders we get lately are willing to go to war but wont let the troops do whats needed to win. just think about it. we havent won a war since w w 2.
