It could be anxiety or guilt over something you can't get over. You might also have the medical condition of insomnia. Where no matter what you try, you won't get quality of sleep even if you "sleep" for hours at a time. I would suggest getting some sleeping pills from your doctor to see if it is not more hours of sleep you need, but just ~6 hours of solid REM sleep.

You have answered your own question when you said you are anaemic...you need to take some vitamin pills and put more fresh vegetables and fruit into your diet. In fact cutting out all processed foods and having a diet of natural foods, with rice, wheatbread, vegetables, and soups made of anything..will make you feel better and also make sure you sleep better.

I always eat protein when I cannot sleep...cheese or even an omelette, and then I find I can sleep better.
Cut out the sweet biscuits and snack items..they keep you awake. I also read or go on the computer if I can't sleep...it means ytour body has had enough sleep. Not everyone needs 8 hours and having that much forced on your system would certainly make you tireder..

Learn what your body needs and have that many hours of sleep...
From what you are saying, you are going to bed too early...Start some night activity like studying something, or reading...Don't waste your time lying there trying to sleep...do something...,

I am exactly the same way and have been for years. I am not depressed but just got into being lazy in the morning. If I have to get up I struggle with it which interfers with me having a morning job. I am anemic as well and we need to figure this out for sure!

Are you depressed? That might be a possibility. I went through the same thing, about 12 years ago.
