I suggest that you visit Victoria's Secret, pick out some sexy lingerie, make a nice dinner at home and create a romantic atmosphere. Seduce him and give him a night he'll never forget....
Sometimes gestures mean more than gifts....

What about a weekend getaway. Like a cruise.
Or a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant.
Or just leave a hotel key in a evelope on the table with a note to meet you there.

Congratulations! If you have no kids you could organise a little trip away, maybe just a cosy Bed and Breakfast for 2. If you have kids why not include them in your surprise as have them make you both breakfast in bed!! Have fun and just try to remember what anniversaries are about...Celebrating your everlasting love, not expensive gifts!!!

OK I can tell you what I give my husband of 17 yrs. every year for our anniversary.
Get up early that morning. Cook him his favorite breakfast. Serve it to him in bed butt naked with a bow on your head. After he's finished eating give him a long relaxing body massage and when he's completely turned on service his maleness for about 20 min!!!
Trust me!
17 yrs. He's a happy man!!
And he NEVER forgets our anniversary!!

Congrats on your 2nd year!! For it to be special it has to be meaningful for you both - only you know what can touch his heart.
But if you just want generic ideas, you can't go wrong with a romantic weekend away together (with lots of lovemaking).

Search for a nice Bed & Breakfast which as a spa inside the room. I went to one in my area and it's really really nice and romantic!

Gifts are about telling someone that you know them well enough to know what they are into and what they would like to have.
With that being said, how the **** would we know?
Any answer you get from here will be about what they want or their husband would want. Not what your's would.
Congratulations, and good for you for wanting to do something special.
