Don't lick them. The evaporation of the moisture you put on them will actually draw more out of your lips...thus making them dryer. Chapstick, Carmex and the like are mostly skin protectants. They mostly hold in the existing moisture. You need something that is a moisturizer and a protectant. If you live near a Kiehl's, they have the best lip balm I've ever used. Works much better than chapstick. If there isn't one near you, you can get it online at http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/catalog/product.aspx?CatCode=AXE_Face&TopCat=F1_Lip_Care&prdcode=307

Although, if you are outside much, you should get the one with sunscreen in it.

Apply a thick lip balm before you go to bed. In the morning your lips should be really soft and pouty. Then exfoliate them with a soft toothbrush and use a balm during the day too keep them staying soft.

Always carry lip balm with you and use it often. My son gets chapped lips really badly and I put vaseline on them at night. Usually they are fine by morning.

Simple. Use lip balm, chapstick, lick your lips, and drink water.

Exfoiliate with a toothbrush, don't lick them, and use (I have used all of these) either carmex, Chap stick, or my new personal favorite is Blistex liquid stuff with the metal ball.

just carry around a good tube of chapstick(not lip gloss). try to use something natural and has spf in it. if you still have a problem, see a doc.

CARMEX DOES WONDERS! lol but for a quick fix if you don't have carmex, use petrolium jelly (sp?) or VASELINE. Its great. just leave on a lot for a couple minutes and then you can wipe it on or leave it. BUT BEWARE, it tastes SOO nasty!

drink more water and always keep carmex with you. apply it BEFORE your lips get chapped and even if they accidentally do and theyll stay beautiful forever. its addictive though.
