As a Christian i do look forward to the end of the world as we know it, but i don't think humans will be able to start over again. But even if we could i don't think anything would change, humans are humans and no matter how many times you start over it will probably end up pretty crazy every time.

The end of the world will happen way after the human race goes extinct or leaves the planet and colonizes other new solar systems we've just discovered since the early 1990's. This planet will still be revolving even after a massive Apollo asteroids that orbits near the earth hits us, a nuclear war happens, new devestating diseases arises, climatic changes in the earth effects crops, a gamma ray burst from a nearby star hits this planet, or robots take over.
The Sun will become a giant Red Sun and it will probably engulf the earth or a traveling black holes (which astronomers recently discovered) could engulf the Solar System. That's when "the end" of the world will finally happen.

I think that the world is forever ending as we know it. I mean, when you have your first kid, it changes the world as you know it. When you go into high school, when someone dies, when you join a club.... therefore I think that the world ending as we know it is a very general term. To me, it just means a great change, even if just in one life.
Also, I think that if the human race were to die out but for a few people, none of us posting would be the ones left. It's quite unlikely.

Well, I think things have always been pretty crazy - it is all in human nature and if we got to start over again I think it would be just the same!

This would happen if an asteroid hit the planet. Now there is no need to take this question in that direction. No children... how could we ever give them up? No we must continue to protect the planet... for the children. We must learn to survive... for the children. And yes life should change in the world as we know it.... for one unity to survive... that's man kinds last hurdle.... help by jumping it... for the children.

Its time I had some time alone.
Though I disagree. There is hope for humanity, if humanity could just spend some time contemplating the incredible gift of an ancient Hebraic man/God who was willing to die for all of us.

I know, there is heaven on earth for all of us. Maybe not in this life. for sure in future. The hardest thing in our live was to be born. Suffering is the only way to recognize the true love all over us. justOne

no i wouldn't be happy and i don't that we are starting all over if we all die, i mean there wouldn't be anyone to reproduce its not like god would created human again so that we humans can destroy it again and plus if we do start over its not like you are going to live again somebody else would be living not you only if you believe in reincarnation but i that you must have done something really awesome that god would let you live again.

Well, let's ask it this way: Name all the species who are better off since humans arrived? Enumerate the ways in which this planet is better off since humans arrived?
