i've been hit by (SpySheriff) if anyone knowz it, it has changed my tuneup program to be an unsigned software, everytime i put my key it just restart and tell me it's unsigned, however, i have norton installed, it has removed the virus, but, the virus has infected the my (explorer.exe) so it has to change my home page to (c:\secure.html), and i get many alerts from norton, that i can't work on my PC anymore, how can i fiX this?

It sounds like you need to try downloading something other than Norton (maybe Avast or Spybot Search and Destroy), then going into safe mode to do your virus scan. Do this by going to start, then run... type in msconfig and hit enter... then under the boot tab check the safeboot box. Restart and then run a virus scan. Safe mode only loads up essential parts of your computer, so hopefully the virus stuff will be inactive and you can more easily delete it.

U need to restore your whole computer again and thats how to get rid of it......if u dont then it can turn into a virus. It sounds like more a spyware. U can purchase Norton Internet Security from a Electronic store like Best Buy for an example. Hope this helps and good luck ;-)

norton can't fix spysheriff, because norton works with viruses only and this threat is spyware. you need an anti-spyware program to fight it. however, if you don't wanna download/buy some spyware remover, try this free removal instructions:

Go to Pandasoftware.com and use there free online scan.
another way and the best way is to run a differnet software program in safe mode with no network just safe mode.
download this and run it in safe mode.

you may have malware, go to www.prevx.com, download prevx1 and install it and scan ur computer and delete all maleware and unwanted programs, then go to system restore and disable it for 2 days then turn it back on, always disable system restore when u download a virus or trojan or any other unwanted application
