Yes, it is possible that she is teething at 13 weeks; although most infants usually develop their primary teeth between 6 and 10 months of age. The first teeth to develop are the central incisors, then the lateral incisors, followed by the canines and the molars at about 2 years of age. As one of the other answerers stated though, some babies can be born with teeth.
Another possibility thought, could be that your little one is just a very oral baby. I have five kids (a decent amount of experience) and my 7 month old got her first tooth at 6 months but, out of all of my children, since the age of 3 months, she has been attempting to fill her mouth with everything she can get her hands on.
To make her comfortable, you can try to place some baby oragel on her gums. if she really is teething, she won't have as much of a desire to chomp chomp.
good luck and happy new year.

My son had 2 teeth my the time he was 10 weeks. Bonjela, available from chemists - a gel which you rub onto the gum with a clean finger. The teething rings which you put in the fridge are great too.

babys explore the world through their mouths as at a young age its the tounge that has the most nerve endins in. but babys can teeth from birth some are born with teeth so there is no set time for a baby to start teethin. try some teethin gel, i reccomend dentinox, i found it fantastic with mine, also a clean cold flannel and bicci pegs are a great help as it gives your little 1 some thing to bite on, wen applyin teethin gel use a baby tooth brush as it massages gums and softens them makin it easier for teeth to come through but also dont forget thee is still a chance that the teeth wont come through for a while yet. my little one teethed from a couple of weeks but never got any till he was 7 months then he just had loads appear as if over night. good luck xx

My baby is 3 months corrected (she was 3 months early so 6 months real age) she has been like this for about 2 months now. HV told me they can go on like this for ages. She is drolling putting hands etc into her mouth. Has bad days and is grumpy with it as in pain.
Dentinox works good, she doesn't like taste of benjela but worked ok. Tried some crystel things too - again ok.
Calpol is good when they are really upset with it. I have tried the teething rings that you put in fridge too - lovely for hot painful little gums
you are not alone!!

I think you can buy a gel product to rub on the gums. Some babies are born with teeth! So it's not unusual for variations in teething times. In the old days a crust of bread used to help.

oh my god!! my baby boy is 14 weeks old and hes the same!! hes trying to ram his fists in his mouth all the time even when hes sleeping hes chewing on them sometimes!! his babygrows and clothes end up soaking wet so he has to have a bib on constantly! he seems frustrated and trys to put everything in his mouth! so pleased someone else has the same problem.. i took him to the docs and he says it could be teething, or the teeth coming ascending in the gums. there has been babies who have got their first tooth at 3 months, my auntie being one of them! does your child have a dummy?? mine will not take one and i feel one would help. just give her lots of cuddles and try a bit of calpol. good luck!! im here with you haha xx

Oh yes both my children started teething at about 12 wks. try teething rings the ones you can put in the fridge. I used to put them in the freezer the coldness numbs their gums. also their is a bongela that you can get for 3 months plus. If you breast feed then watch out.

i really dont think it is teething
the newborns ive looked after and my own daughters did that-as if they were furious with their fists or wanting to eat themselves, with all the babies i found it was wind\needing to poo or peckish-the remedy used to be a little feed.....then they pood or farted or went off to sleep.....
i breastfed my babies but a little bottle of previously-boiled, cooled water did the trick for my tiny charges.
as another answerer pointed out they are really oral-they have very sensitive mouths, and children will do anything in their repertoire to communicate,a 13 week old has crying, and being able to chew her fists and not a lot else in her repertoire
try the little drink....you never know.
good luck x

My daughter started teething at 8 weeks and I used dentinox teething gel and bought a couple of teething dummies. Tommy Tippee do teething rings for all stages of teething. The first one is like a dummy only it's solid. They are brilliant for babies to bite down on and we swore by them. She also used to love biting on cold raw carrot sticks. I cut them into lengths and put them in the fridge.

Try homeopathic Chamomilla granules. They help a lot. You can buy them from Boots the Chemists and health food stores. Better than Bonjella and harmless if it isn't teething that's causing the problem. Just follow the instructions on the packet or buy a good homeopathy book.
