what does her attitude have to do with anything, i dont remember any discharge, i thought any discharge was a bad thing. just keep an eye on her and dont use 2 and 4 in place of words, that just makes you look ignorant.

It seems very unlikely that an ultrasound could be that many weeks wrong. And even if they couldn't find the calender, and experienced healthcare professional would be able to say roughly when the baby was due from the dates given by your daughter.
Early ultrasounds (at around 12 weeks) are very accurate when it comes to giving a due date because all babies grow at pretty much the same rate in the first few months, so they can say exactly how old the baby is.
Braxton hicks can happen at any point during pregnancy. I recently had a 21 week scan and had 2 during the scan, which the sonographer pointed out to me and I didn't even feel.

I have learnt to listern to what the body is telling you. Things have changed i think this time mom is right and not the doc. Discharge gets thicker to line the birth canal ready for baby, and being active is common towards the end it's called nesting! But it still is down to the baby when they are ready to make an entrance so sit back relax and keep listerning to your body and what your baby is doing (remember to monitor your babys movements as the time comes close the baby has little room to move and the head is down so they don't move much but they have to move at least 10 times aday) Congrats and good luck

an ultrasound only dates by size of baby we had been tryin for a baby and therefore i knew the exact date of conseption. i knew my due date was a whole month before that of the one given to me at my scan! i would reccomend seeing a doc about white thick discharge though as could be thrush and your daughter should get that seen too right away. braxton hicks can happen from 7 months so i wouldnt take that as an iminent sign of labour. good luck to your daughter xx

I am due the end of March they say that the ultra sound is very accurate but as you probably know babies come whenever they want. I would tell her OB about the changes. Also I read it is actually common to have small contractions that you usually don't even notice. The calendars aren't always that accurate. It help if she knows when she got pregnant. I know I conceived the 29th of June so even though the ultra sound said I am due the 25th my OB kept my date the 22nd because of the conception date but he told us the baby will come when he wants and babies can be early. I would talk my OB. :)

The doctor was wrong on my mom's due date with my little brother. They went by the ultrasound which was wrong. My mom knew she was due in January but they said febuary. I mean my god my mom had 6 kids prior to having my little brother and she knew when she was due. She went by her last period but no the doctor acting like he knew it alll and even tried to stop my moms labor but couldn't cause it was time for her to have him.
Ok i am going to go by the date April 4th on this calculator:
Estimated date of conception: Wednesday, July 12, 2006
End of 1st trimester (12 weeks): Wednesday, September 20, 2006
End of 2nd trimester (27 weeks): Wednesday, January 3, 2007
Estimated Due Date: April 4, 2007
Go to this site and put in her first day of her last period

Her attitude could be attributed to 'nesting,' or a burst of energy just before the baby comes (I remember cleaning like crazy, even moving furniture around).
You could be right about the actual conception, or you and the doctor could both be wrong (and the baby may be born in between your projected dates). Talk to the doctor (or a nurse) anyway, and share your concerns.

you should get more discharge all throughout pregnancy they always say to go by you own date but the baby maybe very small for its age she wants to see her midwife and tell her all this she may need steroid injections to help baby grow faster

don't worry, most docs say that theres a big window for your actual deliverly date. they usally check baby size and mommys tummy size. doctors cant be right all the time. go with what you feel is right. congrats!!

Don't you calculate this based on the date the power went out, or the last time she got drunk? Why do you girls ALWAYS have to have your PERIODS involved in EVERYTHING? Geez.....
I thought once the toothpick comes back out clean, or the little plastic button pops out, indicated the due date? D@mn you chicks are complicated.....
This could really screw up when Dad is supposed to hand out the cigars.
