I have been on maternity leave since Nov 9th. I took my STD disability paperwork to my Doctor's office on December 4th. The fronk desk nurse told me she would have the Dr. fill it out and mail it for me. I even gave her 2 stamps! On Dec 19th I called CA STD and they said that there was no claim on file. I called the Doctor's office and the girl told me that they head nurse wasn't there. I left my number. The next day I didn't get a call back, so I called again...same thing. The third day I was pissed and complained. The other front desk nurse told me she would look in my file. She said it was mailed out Dec 20th. That's 16 days later!! I am still her waiting for a check (about 4k) and if I don't pay rent by the 5th I'm going to get a notice. I am 2 months behind on my car payment and credit cards. Has anyone been in this situation or knows what choices I have?? Please I need the advice!!

Take the gloves off and handle your business. Get another copy of the paperwork required, call the doctor's office to find out exactly what time the nurse will be there and if not who is handling her duties while she is out and if there isn't one, mention the agency in your state that deals with doctors and the regulation of their office's duties and requirements. Unfortunately you will have to be nice to these individuals because you want something from them, but be tact full. Be constant, if you have to call ever hour on the hour, you will get results. If you work with the public, then you know what I mean. I would also leave a number of messages for the doctor and his office manager, if other than the nurse who you originally gave the papers to. It is a lengthy process, been there done that, on both sides of it. Start calling from the time they open to the time they close, even do a sit in if possible. I wish you the best.

and your husband doesn't pay the bills because WHY? you have a family and don't have a mortgage because WHY? if you can write letters, make calls and spend hours online, you can go to work......later next month go to the abortion clinic and while you are there also have your tubes tied!!!!!!!!!!!!

can't ever trust the government, you have to work the system like a broke whore, just try to be nice about it, blow alot of smoke up people's asses they like it.
