I've attended peace demonstrations and war protests in the past. Im engaged to my fiance, who was in the Marine Corps for 8 years, and is also a war veteran. Are we the odd couple or what?

You can protest a war and be pro marines. I am pro services and hate bush and think this war is bullsh*t

Besides, why wouldn't you protest something that can kill your fiancee?

Think about it. Your fiance may love serving his country and fighting for the citizens, but he may not necessarily like serving under particular presidents in certain wars. I've met a lot of veterans who are anti-war in a way, and many times they are against "wars of choice", not wars that are necessary to prevent a larger catastrophe, such as World War II. And this war, in my opinion, is a war of choice. I'm sure he does relate to you and the peace demonstrations and protests, or he wouldn't be with you.

Being a war protester is not bad just remember to support our troops they are fighting so you can protest things because of them thats why our country is free GOD BLESS AMERICA
