If you are doing first time dont rely on Online transaction. Go to some forex convert agents or private banks who give more value to your money than PSU bank.
They may buy your origin currency for the rate they fixed against the local currency and give the equal value of target currency for selling rate. Bargain a bit you will get more.
Better get quote from as much as people you will get good value
