McAfee VirusScan is telling me NetMeeting/megoza.dll is infected by the Zquest trojan and cannot be cleaned. I cannot delete or quarantine the infected file. Anyone ever heard of this or know what I could try to get rid of it? I don't even know what a Trojan does to your computer3.

I've found the file location and tried deleting it manually, but it says it is being used by another program and cannot be deleted. I had not opened anything when I tried it. I have tried restarting and deleting it before anything loads and it still won't delete.

k i have had trouble with trojans in the past, and pretty much none of my anti-virus software works. Firstly, trojans are like virus only that their purpose is for getting information out of your computer, things such as credit card numbers etc... My first suggestion to you is to definetly download Ad-Aware(google it) as it sometimes actually removes trojans(and may find hidden ones also), if that doesnt work which happened to me once, then you can either try to find another program which can help, talk to a Techie which is knowledgeable about trojans, or as a last resort save everything important, all files onto a disc or memory stick, and restore ur computer to original setting which will pretty much wipe out all your hardrive, what happened to me is that the trojan multiplied itself onto several files throughout my computer and i couldnt delete it, in the end some hacker manually shut down my computer and it wouldnt let me turn on and i lost everything in my hardrive regardless so i had to start from scratch and return everything to the original setting, so whatever you do its up to you but you should address the trojan ASAP or it could really damage your computer depending on what kind of trojan it is. Hope this helps.

a trojan is basically a virus. . . . If you can't delete it thru McAfee, try searching for the file itself, and delete it manually. . . If not, then format your computer and restore it to factory settings.

all i know about trojans is that it is like a virus.. a way for people to get information
do you have any good programs to keep that from happening?
I did a search for you and found nothing.
to get ride of it id just system restore to a month ago or so to see if its gone
