The last estimate I heard from the US military was 35,000.
The Baath party claims to have 50,000 fighters active, and about 200,000 reserves.
Niether estimates are impartial, and their are no international estimates, so it's hard to say.

You can figure this out by subrtacting however many we have killed from the pre-war total of Iraqi terrorists. Then take the difference and add 20 million. So we are making definite progress.
