Audition, audition, audition! When you start to book roles in plays, invite agents to attend your production, so they can meet you.
You can't get an agent unless you're performing! You don't want to get an agent too soon in your career.

If you get an email from ANYBODY claiming to be an agent, report it as spam and delete it. Don't even read it.
Trust me, you'll thank me for it. I can almost PROMISE you that not a single email you receive will be from a ligit agent.
Please, please, please listen to me. Just start with a local agency and work your way up. You'll be 2425720 times better off, okay?
