I would be glad to help you with something for you to eat; a bowl of hot soup is nice this time of year...maybe some warm clothes or a blanket if that would help. Let you in my house? I doubt it. In these days that may not be too smart. It might be dangerous...for YOU. If you were stupid enought to try to do something bad. I have several very large, very loyal dogs (Alaskan Malamute/Wolf cross). If you are going to go around knocking on strangers doors, you better be ready to explain yourself, and you should be on your best behaviour. No second chances in my house...my dogs are a great judge of character! Bad guys pretending to need a meal may become the meal if they step out of line here! Happy Holidays!

Good question.... I don't think it is a matter of someones will to help but rather a situation now where a person is protecting themself.

If Rambo, Shaq, Bruce Lee, The Terminator all were my roomates, I would invite you in and offer you all the clothes food and sleep you needed.

Firstly I would ask are you ok?

Next if you told me your hungry and tired etc I would get you a blanket, and food etc invite you in but I would then leave for the day LOL.. my home is insured :D..

And if you took anything well maybe you needed it more than I did anyway LOL :D

Safety of my children and self come first. I would help anyone hungry but I teach my kids not to open door to strangers. I go by the same rule. It is too dangerous these days.

Well, we usually only do that on Thursdays around here, but for you, sure! Why not? There's food in the pantry and a spare room upstairs that hasn't got a guest in it right now, since one of the war resisters we were hosting has moved out.

u look hungry or r hungry? ill yell thru the door how to get a job n earn food n toss a piece of chicken out the window n point u in the direction of the nearest lake to get drink. its better to teach a person how to catch a fish than to give them a fish n have them beg the next time their tummy growls

Considering I have kids inside that God has given me to take care of, no. They are my first priority. Any decision I make that could risk their lives is me not doing my job right. I can't risk harming them for the sake of being politically correct. Sorry but that's just the truth.

I would find out what you wanted. If the hubby was home I would probably let you in because if you did turn out to be some bad dude he would beat you half to death and then shoot you. And, if it turned out you were just hungry, I'd feed you.

No. My family's safety and my safety are top priority. You can't tell peoples true intentions by looking at them. Even though you were looking for help, you could really be looking to hurt my family and rob us blind.

No. But after staring at you for a while and looked safe, I'd give you a hand-out.
