No, Saddam Hussein had little power outside his own Country. He had no Weapons of Mass Destruction and very little if any ability to harm the United States (when was the last time Saddam Hussien attacked the United States?) when he was still in power and none when he wasn't. His death does nothing but give the Sunni population as well as many other groups in the Middle East another reason to despise America. It will probably help recruiting for the insurgency in Iraq as well as Terrorist groups all over the Middle East putting the United States in greater danger rather than less.

Saddam was never a threat to the US he was a threat to his neighbors ,,, we don't care if he was a threat to Iran,, but we care when he was a threat to Kuwait and Saudi (Lots of our oil there):),, and Israel (Lots of our allies and planners there):) so hanging him will not change the equation in the States, but will change lots of equations in the middle east... Iraqis never been a threat to the states in the past and will never be in the future..I hope that Bin Laden will be hanged with his followers ..only that will make the whole world a safe place to live,, not only for the Christians, but for Muslims and all other religions,, so its better to achieve something to be proud of,,,Not to Hang Saddam who was a made in USA tiger of paper,,, but to hang Bin Laden and Alzawahiri where all the 911 hero's came from (None from Iraq or from Baath party) So the answer is a big NO but when you hear the execution of the extremists the answer will be a big YES

why should we be? Saddam was never a threat to the U.S. Bush lied about that. If anything, we are possibly less safe than we were 5 years ago. Saddam hated bin Laden and Iran. He actually kept Iran somewhat in check.

No. Because of our invasion of Iraq the Arab world's dislike of Americans has increased & as a result incidents of terrorism has increased substantially. Saddam's death will do nothing to change this.

I don't blame them for hating us. Iraq is in shambles becuz of our invasion & the peaceful Iraquis, like us, have sustained the loss of many lives; most of which have been civilians.

Why anyone would think we would be safer is incredible. The only explanation I can think of is that they don't read their newspapers or news magazines.
