leave your cousin alive! lol :)
pop-ups indicates you got spyware/adware installed, both these things are easily removed by anti-spyware. try spyware doctor, it's most popular spyware remover:

by the way: watch what your cousin do with your computer, cos most people get infected when they browse for free stuff (screensavers, mp3s, wallpaper etc), porn or cracks. spyware/adware can be easily removed in most cases, but your machine can get infected by a virus, that can be painful. so watch out & good luck !

To be honest...Anti-Virus,Spyware blockers and all that does not really work good. You need to just re-format your hard drive and re-install your Operating System. The only way to avoid spyware is to not use the internet at all. Even your most basic sites have some type of spyware or malware. Good Luck.

I think she either download softwares from random website or visit website which automically install spyware in your pc. Do you use limewire? If you do it may be your cousin download software in your pc, and the software turn out to be virus.
I use this software called Ad-Aware SE Person by Lavasoft. It's a free software that detect and delete any spyware in your computer. Or you can go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools> System Restore and go back to past setting. (Your PC automically save setting for you, and it will takes you to the restore setting day)

I suggest that you simply carry out a system restore to a date when the computer was working normally with out such problems. This should undo the changes that have taken place and the PC should work normally. If you find some problem after system restore you have options to revert back or chose another date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html. Subsequently you install astandard antivirus and an antispyware.

my guess is that she probably got your computer infected with spyware, adware, malware, and maybe even viruses.
i would start by downloading a few reputable programs to clean the spyware.
Spybot
Adaware
AVG Antivirus
Start with those and see what you find. Then you can download some others, but not before starting with the essentials.

She probably accidently got into some porn. but do not reformat your computer -- it's a task. whatever internet program you have, delete your cookies, temporary content, whatever. In IE go to tools then internet options to do it. Then download Ad-aware and check for viruses. remove the viruses, then in your computer see if the virus made a folder in your program files or if you can delete it using "add/remove programs". After that, restart your computer. Use Ad-aware again and see if the virus is gone. If it is not gone, google the virus name and follow a guide to remove it. You may have to edit your registry but the guides should help you

Depends on how mischeveous she is. sounds like she may have disabled a popup blocker(if you have one) and maybe even downloaded a worm(extremly paranoid case). You should install a toolbar for your browser that has a popup blocker(Yahoo and Google toolbars are good examples). You should get antivirus/firewall like Mcaffe or Adaware(free version available but it doesn't have a firewall). You can get viruses from just normal surfing so make sure you keep any antivirus you get well updated.

She probably accidentially downloaded adware or spyware. Nothing can do more harm to a computer than a 10-21 year old girl. You will need to download a program called "Ad-Aware" that will search and delete any adware or spyware on your computer.

download a bit torrent. example:bitlord.com
download it
and install it
then go to mininova
and then search for the program you are looking for
like panda or norton antiviruis
they have plenty
however read the comments to make sure they arent bad....
and if they have no comment thats at your own risk.
there is spybot, adaware, registry mechanic ect. get them.....
your cousin could of went to a website that downloaded a file so it would have pop ups.
choosing one of those and downloading them should have an option to stop pop ups.
