I really need some advice. This guy online wants to be friends and chat even tho I told him our "age difference was too great." He emailed me back and said just friends, consider. Now, does this guy really want to be "just friends", or is he trying to get something more?? I doubt if he'd have emailed me if I'd kept my pic off my profile. What do you guys think? Take a chance, or leave it alone? I just don't feel like expecting a friend, someone intelligent to hang out with perhaps, and getting a manipulative horny dude instead. I HATE it when that happens. Ok so maybe my expectations ARE a little high, but still, what do you ppl think??

Most of the time when someone is way older or there is a very big age difference it always leads to them being a perve. They tell you just a friend to get to talk to you then it leads to further things and they do it in a tricky way. Its usually old men who have nothing better to do than sit at the computer all day and try and find females that they can talk dirty to exspecially the young ones. They need to be more mature about things and actually find them a mate in person and have a family. But anyways I would trust the guy, its hard to trust anyone over the internet these days. Hope this helps.

I would be quite suspicious. as u said, u dont think he would av emailed u if ur pic wasnt on ur profile. i dunno how long u av been in contact with this guy but i think u shd find out if he really is who he says he is. If u are widely far apart geographically, then i would suggest u forget about him, cos u cant form a solid, trustworthy, realistic relationship over the net. i mean, he cant be the only guy in this world who would fit ur criteria for a perfect friend, and u'll just end up getting hurt and regretting u never even met the guy.such friendships are superficial, they never turn out 2 be what u expected it 2 be. Form friendships with people u can get to know thru physical interaction, and observation so u can discern the true colours of a person.such relationships tend to last longer. trust me on this one, i've had 1st hand experience, and she turned out to be a guy.

If it's not something YOU want to pursue just don't. Maybe you have a bad feeling about it for a reason. Women have great intuition. It's when we start doubting it that we get into trouble. I think you would be foolish to start any kind of relationship with this guy, online or otherwise, if it's not something you feel good about.

I'd give you some sane advice
1)online relations are totally fake.
2)if there is such a age difference then why carry this on?
3)think twice before agreeing to this friendship .say no if you don't find it comfortable
4)if even after your saying no he is bent on being friends then just give it a ignore.

if i were you i would have said no long before. if still in confusion read the whole thing once again~~~~~~

I would probably leave it alone. He's probably some old horny guy who wants a lil somethin somethin. And if you already told him your age difference was too great and he still told you to consider... reply to him to get a life.... he wants you to consider just being friends probably so he can win your trust and pray that he can get in your pants

Not knowing what the age difference is here, in general it is always a wise move to be very very careful meeting someone you only know on-line. Anyone (including me) could portray themselves to be something they are not.

My advice is not to meet with him, but instead, find someone closer to your own age in your local area.

The Internet is a great source of information, and chatting, but is also very easy for someone to use it as a tool to cause harm to others.

Also it is a very wise idea NOT to give personal information over the net. Such as your address, phone number, last name, town you live in, etc.

In this way, you keep yourself safe.

The bottom line to a long dissertation would be to leave it alone ,,,,This is the Internet ,,,, every one on her is nuts or crazy or a pervert ,,,,, You didn't mention what the age difference was but if he's young enough to be jail bait then delete him ,,,, If it's the other way around then tell him you are allergic to rust and dust ,,,,

No - don't continue the chatting. You've already told him what you thought and now it's as if he's begging. Why beg a "friend" to chat with you? It just seems a little off balance.
