but working 8+ hours is considered a good thing?
like if i play a video game or watch movies for 8 hours, i'm considered lazy and a loser, but if i work 8 hours, i'm considered to be a good person. it's completely insane.

Yeah I hear the same thing. But if I spend an hour on the computer at home everyone goes nuts. And I'm an adult. So I say we just quit work, stay home and play games ALL day then see what they have to say about that huh??? LOL!!!!!

There's a time for work and there is a time for play. If you are a single person, there is no problem with playing for eight hours just as long as your priorities are all straight. If you have a family though, playing video games for 8+ hours isn't going to cut it. That's a loser right there. If that was the situation then I would say 1-2 hours is good, everybody needs time for themselves.

Because working is earning a living. It's accomplishing a goal. It's achieving something beneficial and real. It requires action rather than laziness. Playing video games for 8 hours straight is mind-numbing as well as butt-numbing. There is no reward other than the fake "points" you gather. There is no pay involved. There is no benefit to humankind. It's a selfish pleasure that requires no involvement with the outside world and no physical activity.

wow u have made me see my kids in a whole different way but then again i say as long as u r working and paying ur way then if u do something fun for same amt of time its ok but if u constsntly r having fun and not paying ur way then cant u c how u would b a loser
