I am pregnant with twins aswell, just found out a week or so back.
It is very common to have one twin slightly smaller than the other, and its really nothing to be to concerned about, if your doc is anything like mine you will be heading for monthly ultra sounds to keep a check on the babies sizes to make sure they are both growing properly, normally with one baby the docs can determine this by feeling your tummy and measuring you, but with twins its impossable to get an accurate feeling or measurement.
Hope this makes you feel a little better.

ok Im not sure about how true this is--but there were a few cases where someone was pg & their cervix never closed up completely--they had sex with their other half, he left it in & and somehow another sperm was able to get through and 're' fertilize the egg. resulting in twins
(I really dont know about that though, I think I read about it in a book or magazine--or one of the discovery channel shows)
it is possible that one is just developing smaller now. but will be ok later in your pregnancy
when you first went to the doctor, was it determined right away that you were having twins?

Sweetie it is completely normal for one twin to be bigger than the other! Your children are doin great! My husband is a twin, and when he was born he weighed 4 1/2 lbs less than his brother did, and was about 2 inches smaller. As a result (of course) he is shorter than his twin now. Your babies are fine! However if you are concerned you can always consult your ob/gyn. Good luck to you, best wishes, and happy new year!

It is not that unusual for one twin to be larger than the other. You doctor will want to do another check in a week or two to make sure that the babies are not developing TTTS ( Twin to Twin Transfusion syndrome) where one twin gets most of the nutrition to the detriment of the other.

Well they could be the same along but one be much smaller than the other.Of course there's the chance that you got pregnant twice.Sometimes a woman can be pregnant then have sex before she knows she's pregnant and get pregnant again.
One lady had twins with 2 different dads, one black and one white. That's most likely what happened if they really are two weeks apart.

i dont know if its normal but i am the father of twins one weighed four pounds at birth and had virtually no problems the other weighed 3.1 pounds and stayed on respirator for two weeks. they both are fine now and are doing very well and they were identical twins and you cant tell them apart now at age 19. what you really need to concern yourself with is the demands they will have on u when u get home with them after they are` born.

They could both be due at the same time but one seems smaller than the other. Remember that most twins/ triplets/quads/ect. are most likely smaller than single babies since they have to share the same space and source of nutrients, you. One could be a bit greedier than the other. My older brothers are twins and even though they are identical, one was born a bit smaller than the other. As long as he/she isn't dangerously small, he/she should be a healthy baby. Good luck!

Talk to your DR. this could be considered a double conception, meaning that you dropped 2 eggs during ovulation and they were each fertilized separately. Good luck. As long as both babies are past 38 weeks when you deliver you will be fine.

One thing with twins, is that frequently one baby eats more than the other. So often one is much larger than the other. If your doctor is not worried, then you shouldn't be either!! Congratulations!!!
