if the problem lies in nutrition... then she needs calcium. give her more milk every day - 2 glasses per day. let her be more active. but if you and your spouse are short, then nothing can be done about this.. it’s in the genes. it can't be changed.

Don't worry about how tall she is. I'm 17 going to be 18 soon, and i'm only 5'1" if that. I'm quite fine about how tall I am, everyone in my family is taller than me and picks on me and likes to make fun of me. You need to just let her make up her own mind on how she feels about herself, if it's negative then reassure her. But never try to help her "get taller" when there's not even a way because it's GENETICS!
Plus people sometimes don't even stop growing until there 20. My mom had a friend she saw in college who shot up to 5'8(a girl) by the time she was 20.

You can get her into yoga, which will stretch out her bones and make her a little taller. She should drink milk and eat a lot of greens (veggies). If she's picky about food, then try to incorporate milk and greens in the things she likes to eat, for example, I put milk in my eggs.
If your really desperate to make her taller, there are some medical procedures that she can go through such as "Limb Lengthening Surgery", but unfortunately, they have side effects like causing damage to her nerves.

Buy her some four-inch heels. Nah, just kidding, but it might help! Honestly, you can't really control your height. You can make sure that you drink enough milk for calcium and eat healthy... that might make her grow taller over time. But it depends on genetics. Some people just aren't as tall as others. You just have to accept it. In the meantime... heels are very cute! =)

I think it's a bit late now to start worrying about the effect of poor nutrition but in any case you aren't going to be able to make her eat stuff she doesn't want to eat. What's wrong with being short though? It hasn't done Kylie Minogue any harm, or Mel Gibson or Winston Churchill.

tell her that if she is so worried about being tall and nutrition is the problem, then she needs to start eating healthier.
other than that, i don't know if there is even a way to make yourself grow taller. i thought it was just all in your DNA how tall you will turn out.

You can't help her grow tall. Tell her if she doesn't eat that she'll be going to the hospital and staying there until she starts eating.

You cant. She will either grow a little more or just be destined to be shorter, dont make an issue over it or she may end up with low self image over it.
