In different parts of Asia and Europe, there were different coloquill languages were existed. And each tribe spoke with its own flavour and with their own vocabulary. They regarded them as their own part of culture and revered them and protect them. In some parts of ancient india, sanskrit regarded as upperclass language. And prohibhited others from studying, teaching and speaking. The same thing were existed in Red indians also, But i did not find this type of narrow view in the case of developmental stage of english world wide. thanks for English imperialism.

True but not because of the inherent superiority of the English language. It has achieved its current linguistic status because of colonialism, imperialism and unilinear power dynamics between English and non-English speaking societies all of which favor the former.

As so, any given language normally becomes a lingua franca primarily by being used for international commerce, but can be accepted in other cultural exchanges, especially diplomacy.
A related concept is that of a “vehicular language.” It is defined as a basic linguistic structure for proposed “international auxiliary languages".
In this sense, its true that today English is the main language which broke the barriers of caste,creed,color & religion.

It's not particularly english, had there been any other language which was mostly spoken in the parts of world, it would have become the common language ,, like wise hindi was the most spoken language which helped India unite and to get close

probably. but i do feel the variations in the accent and emphasis on pronunciation etc do have some sort of hierarchical leanings. for instance the queens English is supposed to be of a higher stature than the language spoken by a common man, highly accented.

thats true thanks to the hungry for colonies englishmen and as for sanskrit it was available for every one to read the vedas and upannishads its only in the later part of indian history that such kind of prohibitions began to come up
