I'm not sick since a blood test has already confirmed that, I'm still eating healthy food, taking the prenatal vitamins, no food cravings and I'm kind of at a normal pregnancy weight; maybe a bit low by 5 lbs.
My appetite has gone down noticeably to me and my friends in the past week. Is there any explanation to it or is it just normal? This is my first pregnancy and I couldn't find anything on Google related to it.

When I was about that far along, my appetite started decreasing a little. I carried my baby pretty high for a while, and the doctor said the most likely reason was because the baby was getting bigger and all the growth was putting pressure on my stomach, so it didn't take as much to make me feel full. Don't try to eat when you don't feel hungry just because you think you should -- I tried that and ended up puking! Just keep eating healthy foods, taking your vitamins, and drinking plenty of liquids! Good luck to you and your baby!

I am 22 weeks along now in my second pregnancy. With my first (my daughter), I had a difficult time eating throughout my pregnancy as everything made me feel nauseated or I just couldn't eat! It was really hard but she was born healthy and turned out just fine. This time I am expecting a boy and I had no morning sickness (other than the first week or two), and have had a HUGE appetite as well as I have already gained too much weight. But I think it is normal to have a decrease in appetite at 29 weeks because the baby is starting to really grow rapidly. Also as your tummy expands you have less room to eat. I have had a big appetite until this week as I have started getting a lot of heartburn during meals and it has slowed my usual appetite. Just make sure to eat healthy, take vitamins, and drink milk (yogurt is also great) and eat fruit daily. You will be fine.

Congratulations! You have a little one growing inside of you who looks for total nourishment...since you will be visiting the doctor often, completing those blood test, and fasting on some of those test, try to maintain the level of healthy eating that you are at currently because your appetite may increase during the later months of your pregnancy...write down all and any questions and concerns you may have and share that information with your OB/GYN...you trust this person so trust that he/she can answer you best as it is true that every pregnancy is different, although with similarities, you can sense this for yourself. Talk to your little one and see how your little one reacts...you are eating for two...so do keep that in mind, but I am so happy for you...as children our little blessings...You will be a Wonderful Mommy...Happy Safe New Year! (smiles)

remember every pregnancy & baby is different--

but oh yes-it is normal-that is exactly how I was too
as baby gets bigger your stomach gets more pushed around.
making you feel full even if you havent eaten.
Im due in 3 weeks and in the last month or 2, my appetite has been good.
I had none in the beginning--for the first 5 months I had morning sickness,
month 6, I was able to eat food that wasnt plain/bland
month 7 the m/s came back

I had no cravings at all-except for sour candy, lol

My appetite started decreasing at about 7 months and i lost a few pounds and then stayed at the same weight because i had very bad heart burn the was decreasing my appetite. It could just be a change in your pregnancy as different hormones are released. Good luck!!!

There is no "normal" when it comes to pregnancy. A woman can have 6 kids and have 6 different pregnancies.

As long as you are taking your pre-natals (btw..I stopped taking my at 12 weeks....they wre making me nautious and I couldn't swallow pilss yet, lol), and eating many small healthy foods, and baby is doing fine, then have no worries.

I had a textbook perfect pregnancy. No morning sickness, no medical problems, I gained 32 lbs. (a bit much for my height and weight, but w/e). My son was born the day after my due date (went into labour on my due date). The only foods I did NOT eat was feta cheese and something else (can't remember) I still ate overeasy eggs, cold cuts, hot dogs, seafood, I drank coffee, tea and soda, I worked 55 hrs/week until I was 34 weeks and 45 hrs/week until the day I went into labour. I rode my bicycle until I was 34 weeks. (I work in retail hardware..on my feet all day). I slept in any position that was comfortable. (Including on my stomach, and left side...you can sleep in any position that is comfortable)

A lot of "symptoms" of pregnancy are mind over matter. My MIL told me I couldn't raise my arm becuase I'd strangle my son. Old wives tale.

You know what's right for you and for your baby (generally). Sometimes dr's are wrong too! (mine kept telling me my son was 8lbs because of my fundal height. I kept telling them I was 20 lbs overweight when I got pg and I carry my weight in my stomach. My son was 6.7 when he was born)

So, pregnancy is measured by the first day of your last period. Thus, we have those two weeks where we aren't really pregnant but the implantation/fertilization is taking place in those 2 weeks, so technically it is included in pregnancy. So, if you are gestationally at 6 weeks, the fetal development is really at 4 weeks.

i went through that with all 3 of my kids....even to the point of losing weightwith my last child. Its perfectly normal but if it is bother some to you then see your dr. he/she may be able to recomend things that can help. personal i found if you eat small meals (even when yu are not hungry) 3 t 4 times a day your weight will remain normal

I am 32 weeks and i have found that i am not as hungry and when i do eat, dinner in particular i am full very quick - i guess the baby is squashing my stomach a little - i have started getting heartburn as well.

My friend mentioned something about not having a huge appetite around that same time, nothing was wrong.
