HELP!!! does anyone know how i can get collect calls on my cell from someone in jail???

Call your cell phone service provider. In some cases they need you to set up an account and deposit money into it first.

Usually you need to contact your service provider to see if they will open it up. Some cell companies actually have collect calling open and many are considering opening it up because of the incredible amounts of inquiries.

Some jails will extend a collect call to your cellphone, but then ask you to enter your credit card number for billing.

If that doesn't work, then you have to contact the jail or the jail's telecom provider to set up a prepaid account.

As a last desparation, you might be able to forward your landline to your cellphone, then when they call your landline, it rings to your cell and you accept the call it's billed to the land line.

The phones are set up so you can't receive call es from jail or prisons. if you are able to a call from a jail or prison you are lucky and just except the charges.

can't do it, period...i was in jail, all you can do is have a person in jail call a bondsman who will call the person on the cell to try and get you bailed out

Have them call the operater and ask her to place the call collect for them. The operater will call you and ask you if you accept, then she will connect the call.
