if it has been cut down i don't think you can replant it. But, you can have it recycled!!:)

Since the tree was "cut" at the trunk, it has been dead for sometime. Give it a nice "burial", by recycling it. They use recycled trees here in Texas to stop erosion of our beaches. Some people grind them into mulch, and give it back to you. You can buy seedlings, and plant them in your yard. They take a few years to mature, but then you can decorate outside, for many years. My grandfather planted 2, one on either side of his front door. 30 years later I was still decorating those same trees for my grandmother. Just a thought!

Put it outside till spring in a place where it will get moisture till spring and plant it then, that is if it was a live tree in a pot.

if it is a cut tree, you plant it in the bin. If it is potted, buy a slightly larger pot and some potting mix and plant it
