Jim Thome hands down. Living in Chicago I have been able to watch both players for years, Thomas with the Sox, and Thome with the Indians and Sox (never caught too many Philly games).

Thomas is a damn good hitter, but a complete and cocky jerk who alienated his teammates and was actually called out by more than a couple. He also was a horrible fielder. Thome on the other hand always seems to say the right thing and I have never heard a teammate say a bad thing about him.

Another common problem is injuries. While Thome has been hurt and missed most of a season with injuries, Thomas is constantly getting hurt.

Hitting wise, you can't go wrong with either one of them, they are both great hitters.

Frank Thomas...we're talking about a guy who in his prime could hit for power AND average. Thome is good but has only hit over .300 3 times compared to 10 by Thomas. Neither can field, they are a virtual push on power. Hopefully both will hit #500 this year. They're both a couple of classy players and if both can stay healthy this year and get #500, both will probably get in the Hall.

Carrer wise- Thomas will go to the Hall Of Fame, Thome not a Hall Of Famer.
