yea theres only one screw all the rest is glued on crud I can take off the problem is putting it back together the way it was? My problem is to front window inop, im thinking maybe winow reg. or motors?

the glued on plastic is the inner seal behind the door panel, remove the seal and you will find window attached to regulator with 2 tabs, either way the regulator and motor come as one unit..not sold seperate.. but before you tear down.. have you checked the window switch on drivers door, and also each window has it own relay.. get owners manual, check switch for power..if power going to it, but still inop, bad switch or wiring.

Power Window Inoperative (Replace Power Window Motor)

Models:
1999-2004 Oldsmobile Alero
1999-2004 Pontiac Grand Am

Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to add the 2004 model year. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-08-64-023 (Section 08 - Body & Accessories).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the power window does not work.

Correction

The window motor is now available without the window regulator.

Replace the power window motor following the service procedure below:

1. Remove the door trim.

2. Partially remove the top of the water deflector. Do not remove the bottom of the water deflector.

3. Remove the motor from the regulator.

4. Install the new motor to the regulator.

Tighten

Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

5. Reinstall the water deflector and door trim panel.

Get a test light. Disconnect the leads ging to the motor: two large gage wires. connect the test light across the two wires. Operate the switch. Test light should light. If it does you have a bad motor.

If the rtegulator was bad you usually would hear the motor run but no window action.
