If he wants to sleep through the night, then be all means let him sleep! That is a fairly normal age for him to start sleeping through, but don't be suprised if at some point that changes with growth spurts.
Young babies need a great deal of sleep - and consider it a blessing if he is choosing to sleep through now.
Mine didn't sleep through more than three nights total until they were 18 months old.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS- YOU HIT THE JACKPOT ON THE BABY MONITOR!! My first daughter did the same thing- she slept right through the night as soon as I brought her home from the hospital- I had gone in 3 times to make sure she was still breathing. NO do not wake him up for feedings in the night. If you can feed him at 11 and he can sleep until 5 or 6-- this is a GOOD thing. It means he is adjusted to night and day and don't confuse him by waking him up-- after the feeding change his diaper and off he goes- you will know if he gets hungry- he'll yell- and no he won't starve, that's why they cry......God bless and Happy New Year!

Oh sweety... You are so lucky to have an early-sleeper-all-nighter! :-) My daughter first slept through the night when she was 3 months old and I'm told that's early. Your baby will start to cry if he gets hungry. Don't worry about not feeding it enough. As long as he gains weight he should be fine. I remember going in my baby's room every 10-15 minutes just to make sure she was still breathing. It's natural to be worried like that.

Don't disturb his sleep. You should sleep when he sleeps and he will let you know when he is hungry. It took me 12 weeks to get my daughter to rest through the night. Sleeping through the night is a very GOOD thing! But also be aware that when your little one sleeps for longer hours at a time then you should offer him more frequent feedings during waking hours as his body demands it.

My son slept through the night at 8 weeks old. From 1030 pm til about 7 am. It is fine. My Pediatrician told me they tend to drop an early morning feeding at that age. He is 6 months old now and I still check on him twice a night. Good luck!

Trust me you are good! When the baby is hungry, he or she will let you know! My daughter was only 5 weeks old when she first slept through the nite and that was 10pm till 9 or 10 am! My doc just told me they will let me know when they wanna eat! The babe may be eating enough throughout the day that they dont need to eat at night.
If you wake them up to feed they just may get gassy and overstuffed and youll end up givin em a sore tummy! Good luck new mommy!

Well I breastfed so I don't know if that makes a difference with the consistency of the poop, but when my son was a newborn, he pooped practically every time he ate, which was every 2 hours or so at that age. It was very seedy, green, watery. Its not supposed to be hard or dry. Just do your best to keep him dry and change him often. There's some Boudreauxs Butt Paste you can get for the rash, they even have a all natural kind, or use powder.

Trust me, you are very lucky. Mine was two before she slept all night more than once or twice. If he's hungry, he'll wake up and let you know that he needs something. Babies are very good at letting us moms know when they need something. It is not a problem if they sleep through the night. Relax and enjoy the sleep.

Good heavens yes! Let him sleep. He'll wake when he's hungry. Just be sure to keep an eye on his weight to make sure that he is growing. Enjoy your restful nights.
