alot of techno doesnt have lyrics. i like it mostly for the driving beat. techno is known for its use at raves, which have a negative reputation, but techno itself has no negative influences

Techno is good for the same reasons hip-hop, country, classical, reggae, jazz, blues, etc. are good. It also sucks for the same reasons. The lyrics are also the same as in any other genre, and in fact, techno producers tend to sample lyrics from other genres.
No music has "any negative effects or bad influence," except maybe pop music on the radio like Ludacris. That stuff sucks and can only make you dumber.

Most techno songs don't have that many lyrics, just a few lines that repeat over and over.
I like it because it's fun and easy to dance to, and it brings back good memories of going clubbing with my friends. It makes excellent driving music as well.
I don't see how it could have any bad effects; it's just music.

I love techno music and i am 59 years old. (hee hee hee) i am,
seriously......the good thing about techno is :
#1- it's fast, obviously
#2-not many lyrics so you don't have to think about it
#3-i put it on LOUD to clean my home....and believe me, my home is definately clean!!
#4-it helps me keep my weight down
the bad thing is: my husband will not take me out dancing !

One good thing is that you only need to buy one cd, or really just one song. It's pretty much all just the same repetitive crap.
