1. i don't know what inoculation means.
2. if the bacteria you're cultivating is resistant to ampicilin for example then it would kill all other bacteria that could grow in your sample while leaving the desired bacteria cultures unharmed.
3. i always used loops when i had an internship in a lab.
4. i didn't flame the loops before because they came in a sterilzed container, but after i did before disposing of them to prevent bacteria from contaminating stuff. labs are very picky about their wastes.
5. if the loop isn't cool it could kill the culture is what i would think, but i've never had to flame a loop before.
6. based on your useage of the word inoculated here i'm guessing it means to introduce or something. my response is that depending on what your growing different types of media can be required. and what you're planning to do with the bacteria. for example LB media contains all the nutrients necessary to grow bacteria pretty much all you do is add deionized water and pop it in an autoclave. M9 however is minimal media does not contain nutrients. you get to add them yourself. i guess you could control better how much of what goes in. another reason to use M9 - reason i did anyways - was to introduce nitrogen with a spin number.
Hopefully i helped you.

1) The process of adding bacteria to a sterile environment
2) Because you want only the bacteria you want to study, not some others mixed in to mess up the works
3) I think when you want to grab lots bacteria from a colony a loop works good, and works well to streak a plate.
4)Flaming the loop is part of the aseptic technique, to sterilize the loop first.
5)The loop must be cool so as not to kill the bacteria you want to study.
6) Different bacteria prefer different nutrient sources. Some like agar, some like the coliforms like McConky agar, and the like.

well for one reason, many bacteria have differnt requirments for proper growth, such as e-coli, which may need lots of sugar such as mannose, but then something like staphlococcus might prefer a blood type medium. SO yes, essentially they are inoculated into various media to isolate certain cultures which correspond to the media contents. However, this does not mena only one type of bacteria can grow in one medium (assuming no antibiotic resistance is a factor), thus many other precautions must be taken, such as: AB resistance isolation . yata yata yata.
