The name is Castilian, they were the Spanish ruling class, then there were the the Basque. Christian domination. www.history.com check it out there there are other societies as well.

If you mean in the Spanish overseas empire, the answer is Peninsulares. They were the people actually sent out from Spain as administrators, etc. Next came the Criollos or Creoles - people of Spanish ancestry but born in the colonies.
