A resourceful offspinner with a high action, and a useful, hard-hitting batsman, John Bracewell's strike rate of a wicket every 82 balls was very respectable for a spinner in the 1980s, when the art was virtually dead.

John Garry Bracewell, (born April 15, 1958, Auckland). The 48 year old former NZ off-spinner who plied his trade well during the 80's - an era of pace - retired in the 1989/90 season after 41 tests, and 56 ODI's, before going on to coach Gloucestershire to serveral One-day trophies. Following these domestic English successes, he was appointed as New Zealand coach in September 2003, and will be looking to guide them at least to the World Cup semi-finals, although it will be an extremely tough task.

NZ Cricket desires some exchange for confident. coach grew to become into the priority or no longer, could be yet i'm no longer too confident if it grew to become into the priority. yet i think of (or I "desire") bringing in somebody from the Golden era of previous due 80s is the final flow (however Greatbatch grew to become into part of the era too). I only could want to desire John Wright each and all of the final to help NZ Cricket come again on course
