Yes. But you *need* the Harddisc addon (since the old Xbox had a Harddisc, too, and games try to save data on it).

Furthermore your Xbox must be connected to the internet, so it can download the program to get your old Xbox games running (this is, because the hardware in the Xbox 360 is different to the old Xbox).

If you cannot connect the Xbox to the internet, you can download a CD Image you can burn on your PC or order the compatibility disc from Microsoft for free.

However, you *will* need the Harddisc. Otherwise it will not work.
And since the HD costs $99, you are better off buying the Premium package and not the core...

NO , the xbox 360 needs the hard drive in order for the regular xbox games to work, and besides its way better to get the 400, cuz ur gonna need memory and a wirless controller is better, and it comes with component cables, i dont own an HDTV but i do have a tv with component inputs and it does make the game look better, and it makes small letters more readable, so trust me get the 400 version

No, unless you have the hard drive. If you don't have the hard drive, then you can't play any of the XBX games that are backward compatible on the 360. Note: Only about 200 XBX games are currently playable on the 360.

Yes if its connected properly with audio and vedio peripherals. Go through the manuals you got with the $300 XBox 360.
