I downloaded a movie, it contains 7 files (3 .VOB files, 2 .IFO files, and 2 .BUP files). My computer doesn't have a dvd rom drive or dvd writer. Is there any way to play the dvd files without them? What do I need? Will Daemon Tools (virtual drive)help? Please give specific and detailed instructions....I am a moron you see.

Download vlc player,it plays almost all multimedia files,this should solve your problem,and you dont need a dvd rom since u have the files on ur hardisk
go to
www.videolan.org/vlc/

and download and install the player and enjoy your movie

Yes, you need a DVD Decoder installed. The most common ones you have to pay for are WinDVD or PowerDVD. However, there are some free versions available on the net if you look hard enough.

I think there's one called MPlayer that's free, and there's another called VLC, but VLC can be a pain to learn and work with. The following site might help you:

you can not put a dvd disk in your cd rom without a dvd rom drive!

Yes. You could play it with VideoLan Software (www.videolan.org) or Divx Player
