I know you put it in your mouth, but : how much, how long, do you swallow it or spit?

Don't use it. It's nasty and it's the heroin of snuff! But if you must know, just a pinch between your cheek and gum. The amount varies greatly. Some people use gobs of the stuff, others, much less. Most people spit, a few swallow a little. The price has gone through the roof. I think it's about $3.00 a can in Ohio.

Snuff is just powdered, not 'chopped' tobacco. Some companies add spices - there was a 'fad' for it in the early 1980s here in New Zealand, I liked a minted one.

If you're smart, you'll avoid it altogether. "Smokeless" tobacco can contribute to mouth sores, gum disease, really rank breath and mouth and/or tongue cancer. My brother died of a cancer that started in his mouth; leave smokeless tobacco to the less-than-intelligent.
