i cant rly speak for others, but i like EVERYTHING about that book. wow. its my favorite of the harry potters because it's not too far fetched and there everything is easy to understand and it has a surprise at the end.
the ONLY ONLY thing i wasnt 100% thrilled with was the first chapter - but only because i didnt really understand what was going on... th eonly prob is that i would get bored of reading the book and put it down. i had to start the book at least 6 times before i actually read the whole thing. looking back tho, the first chapter makes perfect sense -- its just kind of slow and boring...

I can't reply for others but I do discuss the books with friends some times. Lots of people like the them of a strong freindship, courage, and good defeating evil. Some dislike the fact that the books have so much detail. I like the detail. Also some just dislike the books for the fact that they are fantasy, but many like it for that reason too.

They like the comradely of true friendship.
They don't like the evil people like Snape and Malfoy getting away with everything.

i like it tht's it's d first potter book.it begins d wonderful journey for harry n his frens. then later it turns not so wonderful..but it has its innocence n sweetness.
