There would be a lot of opposition to this notion. I understand what you mean, but the thought of having a foreign ruler over me isn't appealing at all. Voting for a world president does sound interesting, but I think that there would be a Chinese president each and every time (since they have the highest population amongst any country in the whole world right now). How about having a UN? or better yet a UN with more power..... hmmmm??? What do you think?

Okay, well first off, the president isnt that powerful. And the WHOLE WORLD voting for a president is stupid...the president doesnt have to do w/ any other country except the U.S.

There is no system for having "the whole world" to vote on anything. If "the whole world" votes on the US President, it should also vote on the Prime Minister of England, the President of India, the leader of Seychelles, Namibia, Lichtenstein, ...............

On first instance, I'd say YES. But think about it. To do so , you have to agree to the US having a say over our future. Do you agree to this. I DON'T. Then we would be agreeing to a One World Government OWG... I don't like that.
