I love how the malls are practically empty now and I can go back to my normal shopping mode.....I also love how I can get back on my diet without the tempting food...what do you like about the end of the holiday season?

We don't usually have a problem with eating too much, but I do miss the special treats that seem to only get made at Christmas. I really, really love our get togethers with friends and family. It is the one time when most of us are off work and out of school and get to spend some quality time together, so I always miss that. I am glad when the hectic rush ends though... I love to make handcrafted gifts and to shop, but at Christmas time it seems everything is moving at warp speed and it gets hard to find a moment to breathe. I wish the stores would hold the fabulous sales in February....... they could call the the Congratulations For Surviving the Holidays Sales. This way, everyone will have had a chance to do their returns, use their gift cards and the stores will have had a chance to restock some good merchandise.

I like putting everything away and having the house back to normal. I love my decorations, but by December 26th, I want them gone! I'm also glad to be rid of the Christmas commercials on the television. There's something decidedly more annoying about Christmas commercials than any of the others...

I work in retail, so I am thankful to get back to our normal store hours. Also, I am glad all the grumpy late Christmas shoppers who complain about waiting in lines the week before Christmas are all now at home complaining about something else.

Everyone stops pretending that only at Christmas we should think and help our fellow human beings and the rest of the year we pretty much do not hear about it and care.

No more holiday parties with family members that you really don't want to see anyhow!
